Susie's Accident & Healing Fund
Donation protected
Hi everyone, I’m an artist who creates big colorful abstract paintings and complex photo collages. I also teach iPad Art. Last week I had a bad auto accident, was rear ended and pushed into a fire hydrant. Car totaled. Although it made for some interesting photos and new art (see below), I'm feeling lousy, trying to manage all the processes necessary to get another car and pay medical stuff - copays and things insurance doesn't cover up front.
So now instead of creating and teaching art, I’m juggling medical payments, conversations with my lawyer and insurance company, doctors appointments, rental cars, car purchase negotiations, and doing life while recovering from the physical and emotional impact of the accident. And to make matters more difficult, the insurance settlement is not enough to replace my car which I need to honor my commitments.
Some of you might want to help me out financially. And others I know are sending love and healing. Bless you.
I’m asking for donations of any $$ amount to help purchase a replacement car by May 20th. In appreciation I will send one 5 x 7” print of Red Flower in the City or any Water Signs on fine watercolor paper to each donor who gives $25, a 5x7" metal print for $50 donation, and an 8 x 10" metal print to those generous souls who give over $100.
They say art eventually heals all wounds, so I’ve created a photo collage from 4 of the photos from the accident, appropriately titled "Water Signs - by Accident." Scroll down to see pictures, below.
If you've been wanting to add to your collection of textured acrylics or collages this is a really good time for both of us. Or perhaps you want a metal print from my On the Move or Night Music (Guitar) series. Contact me directly to discuss. Art by Susie Stockholm - I'd be thrilled to send you just the right artwork for your collection.
I am a believer in the power of generosity and gratitude. And that's why I want to share my work with you - as well as ask for your help to get my life back on track after this collision. Thank you all for your consideration.
