Sutherland Springs Victims
Donation protected
My name is Anita Busch, one member of an army of families who have been impacted by a mass shooting. We believe that your donation should go where you want it to: Directly to victims. We have fought for years to make sure this has happened for victims of previous mass shootings and terrorist attacks. We are now doing the same for the victims of the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs.
Our hearts are with the victims who are suffering so horribly with the shocking loss of life and injuries.
Those of us who have experienced a mass shooting are calling for anyone who wants to help the victims directly to take the lessons we have learned over 18 years from Columbine through to Orlando.
Only the Sutherland Springs victims know what they will need to heal. Victims are grieving, in hospitals and in unimaginable pain. The costs are -- and will continue to be -- enormous, physically, mentally, spiritually and financially.
Our mass shooting families from across the nation have joined together to make sure that your intent to help the victims directly is fulfilled and that victims will receive your generous gift without restrictions.
Our goal is for the funds to be received by the church directly so that they can distribute to the families they know and love. We realize the church will have many requests and obligations supporting their congregation after this tragedy, so should this not be possible, we will work with another non-profit organization to distribute the funds directly to victims. We will update you as things progress, and tax receipts will be issued after the close of the campaign.
Thank you for helping them.
