Swallowed Whole at the Toronto Fringe Festival
What... well... here we go. We are a collective of artists forming a 2019 Fringe Festival show in Toronto. "Swallowed Whole" is the name and comedy is the game. Swallowed Whole is a sketch comedy show that delves into social issues that our society faces today, only in exaggerated forms.
We touch on a number of topics from economical issues to "bro" culture and many places in between. As excited as we are to share these stories with the world, putting on a stage performance includes more than just writing and performing a story. The amount of time, energy, and funds that go into a production project can be daunting. - Chris has asked everyone else to refer to him as "O Daunted One" lately.
That's why we are asking you, fellow artists, friends, family, and kindly strangers for your support in making this show happen! We are so incredibly grateful for anything you can send our way! $150-$199 and Rachel and Chris will write and draw a 3-panel comic based on a word of your choosing! And also, you shall receive humble gratitude.
Also $150-$199 Carly will do your makeup for a Pride event! Her instagram @thecarlyquinn is full of examples of what she can do, but I love this one!
Also $150-199 How about... a personalized meal cooked in your home by Marge, from our "My Poor Kitchen" segment. Toronto only please, unless you can front airfare. OR a super secret date night at one of Toronto's hottest (and most discrete, hidden) restaurants! We'll get you in for a VIP experience (because you *are* VI to us), and kick in for a couple of cocktails and an appetizer to get the night started! (One of each of these is available).
$400+ and Rachel Parry will paint you an original, 12"x16" acrylic commission (portrait plant or penis, or whatever else)! Gratitude included!
