As the Syrian refugee crisis has exploded onto the headlines of local newspapers and filled TV screens with shocking images, Canadians all over the country, including Niagara, are stepping forward with offers of assistance and questioning what more they can do to help. The Niagara Folk Arts Multicultural Centre is responding with a grass roots community effort and is inviting local residents to get involved.
The Niagara Folk Arts Multicultural Centre is a community based non-profit charitable organization located in St. Catharines, Ontario. Our team of professional staff and volunteers provide vital settlement services to newcomers as they strive to create a rewarding new life in Canada.
Donations to the Niagara Folk Arts Refugee Assistance fund will be used to directly sponsor Syrian refugee families, help other organizations and individuals sponsor and provide supports to resettled refugee families.
