Hello, My name is Mayra also known as my artist handle Huskie/ThePurpleHusky.
Unfortunately when it rains it pours cats and dogs.. Everything happened seemingly at once in May 2018 between getting laid off of my fulltime retail management position due to gallbladder surgery, a botched attempt at school which ate up nearly half my total savings at the time, breaking up my 6 year relationship which as much as i wanted to be amicable and drama-free devolved into a shitshow forcing be back into the toxic environments of my parental home.. which was unbearable and a subsequent transient stint which, altho I'd found a room to rent, found unable to maintain as my dog could not live with me due the landlords allergies.. I'd also thought I'd found a promising fulltime position but was turned away due to my potential as a liability to their, as i discovered, crooked business. I did file for unemployment in my state but due to my erratic schedule, and govt beurocratic wording, i havent collected a cent. My only income has been from my Patreon page which is under 100$ a month and hastily canvassed commissions and donations. This has all been extremely devastating and altho ive been trying my best to work on my commissions queue and sell everything of value i owned - it has left me truly destitute.
I did manage to find a part-time job which i start in 2 weeks from today, and am currently looking at apartment prospects which i hope to be ready to move into come this coming week but while i will probably be able to manage security deposits and first months rent with $ i will get back from the previous rental, i will still need $ to supply furnishings such as a bed and basic storage for my effects and home workspace. I... hate to be doing this and having to rely on the charity of friends and strangers but.. i dont see any other options at this time.
The amount im asking will cover basic furnishings for my new apartment and possibly second months rent - i am hoping once i am moved in and feel at EASE finally after so long, i can bring myself to buckle down and focus on my art queue as I have maintained a steady workflow in the past and would be absolutely shattered should my professional reputation be destroyed by these events preventing me from completing my current assignments.
