I didn't really want to do this. However, the costs of Prince's medical care have exceeded our savings.
Prince was diagnosed with ideopathic Epilepsy in July 2017. He has visited the ER vet many times to stop cluster seizures. After trying different medications, we enjoyed a small 42 day vacation from a seizure only for it to come back on 9-30. Since then, his seizures have been more frequent.
On Thursday, November 16th, Prince had a seizure that never stopped even when administered emergency medication. Since then, his prognosis has been critical. He has developed a tic, blindness in the right eye, and circling when he can walk. The doctors think he might have encephilitus or juvenile cancer. We have an MRI scheduled for this week so that we can make an informed decision on next steps. This may include humane euthanasia in the end but we would like all the information available to see what are the next best options.
The amount above is three emergency night stays at $850 each. We should have the results of the MRI Tuesday or Wednesday. Ultimately our goal is to bring him home and do what's best.
We have exhausted our savings as his care is now well over $10,000 that we have invested in him. Any help is appreciated to offset the cost of his emergency stay.
Thank you.
