TAC Walk For Life, 2018
Donation protected
Dear friend of Thomas Aquinas College,
We need your help to raise enough money to travel to the Walk for Life on January 27th, 2018.
Each year, most of the student body of TAC travel to San Francisco and lead the Pro-Life community at the annual West Coast Walk for Life. This protest is a crucial part of the battle against abortion--silence is assent, and we refuse to keep silent about the murder of innocents.
As of 2:30 P.M, December 13th, 2017, there have been an estimated 1,478,051,400 abortions globally since 1980. [numberofabortions.com] Nearly one and a half billion children have been legally murdered since Roe v. Wade, and that number grows by the second. This is the massacre of the millenium, by far the most lethal in all of human history, and a crippling attack on the unborn child, the mother, and the family. Each of us has a responsibility to do what we can to end this horrific genocide.
This brings me to our plea for help. We are significantly under our fundraising goal for the Walk which is in less than six weeks, due to an unprecidented increase in the cost for our busses to and from San Francisco. If we do not raise enough money, we will have to raise the cost of bus tickets for individual students, potentially cut out the bus ride from our lodging to the Basilica (which means students would have to walk an additional several miles before the Walk in unpredictable weather,) and even reduce the number of busses from three to two, which means that nearly a third of the students would lose their rides.
Please consider donating to make it possible for us to attend the Walk for Life. We need to make $5,000 by January 16th. Every dollar helps!
We are so grateful for your donation. We keep all the donors and your intentions in our prayers throughout the Walk for Life weekend, including a community Rosary novena that begins on January 18th, but additionally, we would appreciate the chance to thank you personally--please email your name and prefered mailing address to [email redacted]. (We will send you a note of our appreciation, and then delete the address.)
Like, share, and contact your friends!
Thank you enormously. Have a blessed Advent season and a very Merry Christmas, from the student body of Thomas Aquinas College!
Sincerely,
Clare Gisla, Class of 2019
