Take the Rock is a Veteran organized swim from Alcatraz Island to the Aquatic Park in San Francisco, CA on October 1st, 2017. The swim is 1.3 miles and is open to all active duty, Veterans, and immediate family members of Veterans. The swim brings Veterans of all services together to help promote camaraderie and that feeling of closeness that many felt during their time in service.
We will be traveling from Ft. Huachuca with 25 Soldiers to the Bay Area. We'd like to raise $5k to cover the transportation and fuel. The goal is to have the funds by September 25th as we plan to depart on September 29th. We'd also like to invite anyone who donates to come cheer us on on October 1st as we make the famous swim from Alcatraz Island.
