Tampa/Orlando Benefit Project
Donation protected
Capitalism is a blight on our communities, but fortunately, our communities are fighting back. And now we might be able to get some help!
Folk punk singer/songwriter David Rovics has agreed to play benefit shows for community-based organizations and projects in both Tampa and Orlando. However, we need to cover his travel expenses. So, let's do it!
The benefit shows will be for Love Has No Borders , a refugee solidarity group based out of Tampa and Orlando Workers League (OWL) in Orlando. These organizations both provide free support and aid to those who need it most in our communities. Love Has No Borders has arts days, and they also do a "Really Really Free Market", which provides much needed resources for communities most exploited by capitalism. Orlando Workers League provides a Free Store every other week as part of their ongoing "Red Aid" project, which also helps the poor and homeless of Central Florida.

Although it will be great to get the community together to hear David perform, these shows will also directly benefit the communities they're being held in. All proceeds will go to the aforementioned projects.
By extending solidarity between our two cities, we're essentially getting two benefit shows for the price of one! With your help, we can make it happen.
