The world's FIRST and ONLY monthly magazine publication for tarantula enthusiasts.

Tarantula keeping/husbandry is one of the largest growing hobbies in the world, with an estimated current number of AT LEAST 100,000 people actively involved in the hobby worldwide.

Yet, there are no monthly publications, either in electronic format or in print to be found for this huge number of hobbyists that exists... and that number of enthusiasts is exponentially growing.

It is our aim to remedy this with "Tarantula Magazine", the World's First and Only monthly publication aimed specifically at the tarantula enthusiasts.

The funding of this project will guarantee the first year, (12 issues including the initial SNEAK-PEEK edition) of electronic publication of Tarantula Magazine. This will cover all costs associated with editorial staff, photography, advertising and the required internet-related costs such as website implementation and hosting.

Once we garner and establish the huge customer/subscriber base that is out there just waiting for the magazine to "go live", then the magazine should be financially stable enough to begin the steps required to get the magazine into the realms of printed publication, whilst simultaneously continuing the electronic publication running concurrently.

I own and run the largest, most active and fastest growing tarantula enthusiast/hobbyist group on all of Social Media - The Facebook Group, "TARANTULA KEEPERS". As we near the 20,000 member number, we are barely scratching the surface of the immense number of hobbyists around the world.


FUNDS FRAMEWORK:

A breakdown of the total $10,000 funds over the course of 12 issues (1 year) is as follows:

Development, design, implementation of a dedicated website to offer the magazine for digital sale. ($2,500)

Advertising ($2,500)
(Google, Bing, Facebook, Yahoo! & Others)

Website Hosting ($250)
(Approximately $20 per month)

Production Costs for 12 Electronic Editions ($6,000)
($500 per issue including payments for contributing editors, photographers, proof-reading)

Unforeseen Expenditures ($2,000)
Data loss, hardware errors, miscellaneous.

This is just a basic breakdown of what your donations will go towards for the first year, 12 issues of TARANTULA MAGAZINE. As you can see, we will be investing some of our own money into the project to ensure fruition. (Approximately $3,000 - $5,000)
