On Sunday, March 11, 2018 a group of four students from the Tatnuck Magnet Elementary School Robotics Team competed in the Southern New England Regional VEX IQ Ringmaster Championship at Quinsigamond Community College. These students worked tremendously hard and earned an invitation to the 2018 VEX IQ World Championships in Louisville, KY.
Throughout their robotics season they have used their scientific literacy skills to keep a detailed engineering notebook. They have learned to program their robot so that it can complete the task autonomously using steps and sensors. The team completed a STEM research project about ethics in military robots.
Most importantly the team learned how to be just that, a group of talented young students who can collaborate with others.
The VEX IQ Robotics World Championship will take place April 29-May 1st. In order to travel as a team, we need your assistance in ensuring each child is afforded this once in a life time opportunity. Any funds raised will be used to support the families to travel to Kentucky and participate in the event.
Please consider supporting these students as they represent Worcester, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and Southern New England in this prestigious world event.
