Taylor's Journey to Argentina
A message from Taylor:
Dear Family and Friends,
I have studied the Spanish language for five years and now it is time for me to push my learning to a new level. During the spring of 2015 I will endeavor to travel to Argentina as a foreign exchange student and I can't do it without your encouragement and financial support.
I have established many goals for myself and one is to be bilingual by the end of my high school career. Another goal is to gain a better understanding of the world around me. I have always had a passion for traveling and experiencing different cultures and foods. As a Montessori kid, at age five, I traced the continents with my fingers and by age nine I was cooking French cuisine.
This foreign exchange to Argentina represents the opportunity of a lifetime for me. I will be attending a local high school, living with a host family and will be completely immersed in the Argentine culture. I expect that when I return, I will not only be bilingual but ready to embrace college with an entirely new perspective on my life and future.
While in Argentina I will blog often and post many photos of my experiences to keep you updated on my journey. I am most excited to visit the Iguazaº Falls and Ruta de los Siete Lagos.
The total cost for my program is $12,600. It feels like a lot, but I am determined not to give up. With your help, I know I can raise this amount. Please pledge your support to me today. Also please pass this information along to your friends and family. Every dollar counts. No donation is too small (or too large).
Thank you for your love and support. I appreciate you all so much!
All the best,
Taylor Shropshire Grissom
