Justice for Tommy
Donation protected
Tommy is known to his friends and family as humble, loyal, down to earth, giving, intelligent and self reliant. He is the type of young man who rarely (if ever) gets into mischief. So to get word that someone had attempted to take his life for no reason, has my entire family and I very devastated. Tommy is the oldest boy of my five children and is very instrumental in his younger siblings' lives. He is also looked upon as a role model in our community.
The tragedy happened right after Tommy was just leaving a job interview (where he was hired on the spot). He was heading home from San Franciso where he boarded onto a Muni Lightrail Vehicle. While on the train, he was randomly shot in the head by another passenger.
Although he is suffering from gunshot wounds to the head, he has not given up on life. In fact, he looks to be healing miraculously; however, he has lost his vision in both eyes and he is going to need reconstructive surgery to restore his vision. As you could imagine this surgery is extremely costly. I expect him to be in the hospital for several weeks recovering and with that comes high medical debt. Therefore, I am humbly asking for your blessings of financial donations to help me through this difficult time with medical expenses. All contributions large or small would greatly be appreciated.
Thank you. Please keep my family in your prayers.
Humbly,
Shamika Thomas
