Team Mu F1 in Schools Nationals

We are an F1 in Schools competition team competing out of Wheeler High School in Marietta, GA, and we need your help to fund our trip to the F1 in Schools national competition in Michigan. The F1 in Schools competition is an international engineering based team challenge. Teams are judged on their engineering designs, engineering process, technical writing, marketing and business strategies and overall car race performance. Teams of up to six members create model F1 cars that are manufactured out of a dense foam block to be raced down a 20 meter track.
Our team name, Team Mu, references the Greek letter Mu which is commonly used in physics to represent the coefficient of friction: an essential part of the engineering challenge our team faces. Consisting of six STEM passionate high school juniors, our team has a diverse background in physics, aerospace engineering, club and project management, technical writing, and computer aided design.
In May, our team will travel to Detroit to compete in the F1 in Schools national competition, if successful at nationals, our team will progress to the world competition in Austin, Texas. Our team is seeking sponsors to help fund our teams travel to the national competition. In gratitude to our sponsors, Team Mu plans to represent our sponsors throughout our competition booth, uniforms, and competition car. Your help will benefit the team in numerous ways. The team is looking at a cost of $5150 for airfare, hotel and car rental. Your support will help us be able to travel to and compete in the national competition this May. By sponsoring our team, your company will also be supporting STEM education. Team Mu’s goal is not simply just to win; we aim to help educate and impassion future engineers in the STEM field through workshops and displays at local schools and outreach events. By sponsoring our cause, you can help Team Mu reach our destination in Detroit and our goals in the community.
