A total KO of Michele's Brain Tumor
Donation protected
This Go Fund Me page is being set up to help my cousin Michele and her family. Michele is one of the most genuine and loving people you will ever meet. She is married to the love of her life Juliano (who hasn't left her side) and is the mother of two beautiful daughters, Madeline and Lyla. Michele is a talented dance teacher at Randolph High School, where she helps to inspire and develop young dancers. On Wednesday March 6th, Michele was diagnosed with a meningioma (benign brain tumor) after a few bouts of dizzy spells and severe headaches. Everything happened very quickly from this point on. She was transported to Overlook Hospital and it was declared that she needed a craniotomy to remove the large brain tumor. As you can imagine, Michele was filled with mixed emotions and began to wonder how her life would be impacted.
On Thursday March 7th, Michele went for mapping of the tumor and her surgeon Dr. Chapel was able to clamp one of the main blood supply to the tumor. On Friday, Michele underwent surgery to remove the brain tumor. It took a little over 6 hours for her surgery to be complete. Late Friday evening, Michele was out of surgery and the long wait began with many wonderings of how this would impact Michele. Many family and friends prayed and sent positive energy for her and the wonderful doctors at Overlook Hospital. So far, Michele is doing well and is expected to make a full recovery. Michele is still in the hospital and her doctors are managing her pain levels. She started physical therapy and will continue therapy for the months ahead. Juliano and Michele would like to thank Dr. Kyle Chappel and the Outlook team of doctors and nurses for their awesome work in removal of the tumor and continued care for Michele.
The purpose of this fund is to help decrease the financial burden associated with medical costs and lack of income while Michele is healing and to allow the Adriano's to put all of their focus on recovery and moving forward. Any and all donations are appreciated more than we can say. We are amazed at all of the outpour of love and support they have already received and thank you all for helping Michele fight this thing once and for all!
