Teddy Hewitt Foundation

Hi, My name is Nicola Hewitt and I am raising money for Teddy Hewitt Foundation. The charity helps families in Essex after the passing of a disabled child. I set the charity up after my own experience having had to give up work and then rely financially on the disability living allowance and carers allowance. The amount was a far cry from my salary but we made it work. When Teddy passed the payments were stopped immediately. While arranging his funeral I was also looking for work.
I am the lucky one. I was back in work the following week but not everyone is able to do so.
As a charity we aim to fill this gap and help bereaved parents back to work and to access the support they need.
