Textbooks for Africa

Dear Friend,
I hope you are well in health and your journey with Christ!
In July 2017 I have been blessed once again with the opportunity to follow my passion on the mission field in Africa. I will again be traveling and working in the slum of Kibera which is located in the heart of Nairobi, Kenya. I am so excited to be returning to my beloved Africa so I can continue the work God has called me to do.
With each trip I take, I asked you to partner with me to sponsor something for the children of Kibera. In the past we have provided small bears to provide comfort, shoes to protect their little feet, uniforms that are required to attend school and last year we were able to bring them 237 portables, renewable Luci lights. This year will be no different! It is our belief that education is the key to ending poverty and I have another great way you can partner with me in helping to assure these children get the education they deserve.
As I was visiting the school in 2015, I noticed that their textbooks were very worn out. I discovered that not all students have their own set up textbooks. In fact, there are about 4 to 5 students to each set of textbooks per grade level. That would explain why they were so worn out. This was very upsetting to me and I knew something has to be done. So this is where we need your help.
Together we have the opportunity to help almost 500 students in our program receive new textbooks that will allow them to learn and study as they deserve. But textbooks are expensive, in fact it cost the ministry of New Hope Initiative each year an average of $60 per student grade 1st through 8th grade and around $115 per student in grade 9th through 12th. With your prayers and donation, we can help give the students of New Hope Initiative brand new textbooks and the opportunity to not only get a fair chance at learning but we can help also break the cycle of poverty through education. So please click the DONATE NOW button and together let’s help educate a child in Africa!
The ministry I travel with, New Hope Initiative, is a non-profit ministry that has a compelling desire to bring real positive change to some of the poorest communities in the world. They do that by a multi-faceted approach of nutritional, educational, economic, and spiritual assistance.
Thanks for your support and may God bless you!
