TGS Winter Fundraiser
Donation protected
As most of you know last year, I helped raise over $1,300 for a senior activity center in Ottumwa, Iowa. It was such an awesome feeling. In the months that followed I decided that I was going to do something annually to help someone in need. I shared these thoughts with the other members of The Tailgate Society. So we'd like to bring you the first ever TGS Winter Fundraiser.
Let me introduce you to Erik Zimmeht, he recently had a medical emergency that put him in the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. The condition they are treating him for is Neuromyelitis Optica or NMO for short. This condition has left him with out vision in one eye and without the use of his legs. After a week of IV steroids and Plasmaphoresis his vision is improving and he does have sensation in his legs. NMO is an autoimmune condition that he will have to contend with the rest of his life, a flare up of symptoms can happen at any time. Once, he is discharged from the hospital in Iowa City, he still may have to go through an inpatient rehab program at our local hospital. He is a great husband and an amazing dad. We are trying to raise funds to assist them with doctor bills, travel expenses, and any other expenses that may come up during this difficult time. Anything you could give, I know Casey, Erik, and the boys would be forever grateful.
For every 11 dollars you donate we will mail you a koozie of your choosing. The 11 dollars pays for the koozie and then 10 dollars gets sent to the Zimmeht family. We have six flavors to choose from. I will list them below.
• What Would Ted Flint Do?
• The Tailgate Society
• #Jayhawktears
• Mad about Iowa
• When I was your age, Kansas was good at football - Design Subject to Change
• Boise State: Not Located in Iowa - Design Subject to Change
When you donate to the GoFundMe page, simply put what koozie or koozies you would like. Then send a screenshot via direct message of the donation to @tgatesociety or @TedflintKansas on Twitter with your address, and we will mail you out a koozie. Lets use the internet for something good this fall.
Thank you and God Bless,
