"JUSTICE FOR TIM"
Donation protected
On Friday, June 22, 2018 Timothy Deal was shot dead by an officer with the Atlantic City Police Department on Kentucky Avenue in Atlantic City, New Jersey. These are the ONLY true and factual details we, his family, have at this time. We are currently trying to process both our grief and outrage towards the law enforcement agencies in both Atlantic City and Atlantic County. Our ongoing requests for answers and information about our dear, beloved Timothy Deal have been continually unanswered at this time.
Many have asked and commented on why we feel we have the need or right to defend our family member against such horrific allegations of wounding an officer of the law. The answer is simple in the fact that ANYONE who knew Timothy Deal knows and agrees that the allegations against him are above all, completely out of character. Character, is what anyone who knew Tim would agree was what you remembered most about him. Timothy left a smile on the face of anyone who knew him and it is impossible to accept the idea that he, unprovoked, attacked an officer attending to an unrelated motor vehicle hit and run accident in a different part of the city.
All that we are asking for is answers and the ability to examine the facts, videos, audio recordings and witness testimonies within accordance of the law and within our rights as family members of the victim.
We are asking that if you have a memory or a time that Tim made you smile that you make a donation to the legal fund benefiting his mother, Ms. Gloria Deal and his Father, Mr. Michael King.
We will not stop fighting for Tim until we understand how such a tragedy could occur to such an amazing young man. We need answers and transparency within law enforcement and we need justice for Timothy Deal.
Above all, We are raising money not only for the legal fund to defend Tim’s name but to bring attention to the injustice facing young black men in our society today and use the kind, brave soul that Tim was as a catalyst for change within the law enforcement community.
