The Brett Kachura Memorial Fund

Brett Michael Donald “Tex” Kachura was a fun, gentle, sweet 17-year-old junior at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, who passed away at home unexpectedly March 31, 2017. Born on September 29, 1999, in Temple, TX Brett had plans to study business and finance at his dream-college: University of Texas.
Brett was a proud Texan and known as the “chauffer” to his family since obtaining his driver’s license in January. He enjoyed playing video games, listening to music, and watching movies and comedy shows. Brett also enjoyed cooking and grilling for his family, playing chess, airsoft, paintball, spending time with his family and pets, especially his cat, Shadow. Brett also enjoyed playing pranks on people. Brett was a former Boy Scout in Sudbury, enjoying fishing and camping trips with his troop. He also played Baseball and Football when he was a student at Curtis Middle School and freshman year at LS.
While Brett lived in Sudbury, MA, his heart was always in Texas and was known to his coaches, teammates, and classmates as "Tex."
Money raised from your generosity will be used by the Kachura family to cover any expenses. Any funds left will be used to establish a memorial scholarship in Brett's name at LS to honor a graduating senior who participated in the Skills program, as Brett did. With enough support, we hope to award the first scholarship to one of Brett's classmates next year, in the Class of 2018.
On behalf of Kimberly, Jason, Brian, Abby and all of the family, thank you so much for your love, support, and gift.
