The Brooks Family Home-Woolsey Fire

Donation protected
On Friday, November 9, 2018, the Woolsey Fire changed the lives of our very dear friends, Teryl and Doryl Brooks. Their family home in the community of  Malibou Lake was burned to the ground. This devastation has left the recent widow homeless with no belongings.   The only source of income for the 74 year old was the guest house on the property, and like the house, it has burned to the ground.  The Brooks family has owned this home for over 40 years so you can imagine all of the memories and personal property including a car and trailer that have been lost.   Teryl, just a week earlier, took a fall and broke her shoulder in 4 places.  She was able to evacuate, but with only a handful of items.  Her only living family member, daughter Doryl, was out of town working and was unfortunately unable to get back in time to help.  We have set up this page as family and friends have been asking what they can do.  Please help them get back on their feet by donating anything you can.   It would be really hard to start your life over again at 74....
