The Enigma of the Torah (a play in 3 scenes)
Donation protected
“Enigma of the Torah” is a play about a group of reform Jews who study Torah every Shabbat morning. Through their study of Torah, the characters explore Jewishness, contemporary issues and interpersonal conflicts. The play was written by two Jewish Torah Study participants after years of observation.
The play is complex: at times funny, at times sad, at times contentious, always on-target. Through Torah Study, the characters discover their own personal Engimas.
The play will be performed in New Orleans on Wed. April 26, 2023, 7 pm, at the Marigny Opera House, 725 Saint Ferdinand Street.
Although we will be selling tickets (low priced), we need to fundraise for our out-of-pocket expenses in producing this play. The play is almost all completely volunteer-run, but there are some unavoidable expenses!!!
One of our goals is to be able to stream the production so out-of-towners can see it also!!
PS, We still could use some additional volunteers (actors/musicians/tech) IN NEW ORLEANS. If you're interested in being on the ground floor of this exciting new play, please send us a message!!!
Thank you SO much for your generous support!!
