The Good Jake Fund Honoring FF Christopher Roy
Donation protected
On December 9, 2018, Firefighter Christopher Roy was taken from us as he answered his last call at a fire on Lowell St in Worcester. The 36-year-old was a member of the department for 2-and-a-half years and leaves behind a 9-year-old daughter, Ava. All funds up to our $5,000 goal will be matched by an anonymous donor and given directly to the Ava Roy Fund at the Worcester Fire Department Credit Union.
When the community named our team the "Bravehearts" in 2013, they specifically wanted the term "Brave" to honor the firefighters who serve and protect us. As we have honored and remembered Worcester firefighters Thomas Spencer, Paul Brotherton, Timothy Jackson, Jeremiah Lucey, James Lyons, Joseph McGuirk, and Jon Davies in our first five years, so too will we honor Christopher Roy a true Braveheart and "Good Jake."
Donations will be accepted until December 24th. Thank you for your support.
