The Higgins Family

Joel Higgins, in our Beaverton Personal Lines department at PayneWest Insurance, has recently found out that his family is expanding as his wife is pregnant with their second child!  During one of the ultrasound appointments the Doctor noticed a spot on his wife, Megan’s ovary, that caused some concern and they requested that further testing be done.  After a few additional appointments and testing, the concerning area has been determined to be ovarian cancer.  After additional research, the doctors have requested that Megan start chemotherapy during her pregnancy to mitigate her risk and she will be starting treatment next week. Prognosis seems to be good, however they have many challenges ahead of them.
