The House Slam: Year 3

The House Slam became a certified poetry venue in December 2014; which grants eligibility for poets to represent the venue at various national competitions. Once this happened, poets began fighting to the DEATH (in the most loving, high-fiving way possible) to be on this team. On April 28, 2017, Kofi Dadzi, Jazmin Roberts, Marshall Gilson, Zenaida Peterson, and Angelica Maria were selected to represent The House Slam at the 2017 National Poetry Slam in Denver, CO. These poets are carving out a space for themselves, their art, and for the city of Boston as they work this summer to create work that is infra-political, transcending, and shifting. 



We are activists, educators, students, seamstresses, nerds, poets, fighters, lovers, vegans, and femmes striving to make change with our words. Help us do this at NPS!! Let the legacy continue. www.houseslamboston.org
