The journey to Motivate Football Sierra Leone

Donation protected

My name is Kitsana (Jimmy) MUONGSENE, I am a football trainer, and the founder of Motivate Football Academy Australia (MFAA). I am looking for sponsorship from people in the community to help a support staff member and I to travel to Sierra Leone in November 2019 disadvantaged kids in need. It doesn't matter what amount you donate, any amount will assist to reach this goal.

Background

MFAA’s approach is to mentor players to be better players on the field, and the best human being they can be. MFAA entered into a partnership with a foundation in Sierra Leone, named Helping Hands, to support them in operating a football academy. Initially MFAA donated 10 boxes of soccer equipment and then further 70 with the help from the Canberra Football community. The Academy has been running for nearly five years and in that time, MFAA has grown to about 80 players from various age groups and backgrounds. Seeing these young people be motivated in the academy training sessions has inspired me to give back to the community and it is truly a blessing for me to be able to do so.

MFAA sends support to Sierra Leone through the Motivate football academy Foundation 4 Kids in Sierra Leone (MFASL), which has grown significantly becoming the largest football academy in the country, expanding to five regions to access to necessary equipment and nutrition in order to build aspirations.

In November 2019, I will be hoping to visit the foundation in Sierra Leone . I will be logistically supported and accompanied by pro-bono field offsider: www.internationalfieldcontractor.com.

Whilst at these sites I will:

·  Meet with the players and coaching staff of each foundation
·  Provide intensive football training to players and trainers
·  Ensure project accountability, confirmation of operations and quality assurance
·  Supply donated football equipment and teaching materials
·  Meet with government officials to further the programs’ ongoing sustainability
·  Use documentation to create further awareness of MFAA/MFASL operations to assist in future fundraising

$4,000 is required to cover the expenses of this humanitarian venture.

Thank you
