Ron Sutton Funeral Expenses

Donation protected

On September 16, 2018 our dear brother and friend Ron Sutton ascended to ancestral hood. He was a beautiful, kind person, a regular guy and dedicated his life playing his saxophone and making people happy with his music.  For the past twenty years Ron battled Lupus and severe Arthritis. He never let it get the best of him and kept studying, practicing and playing his heart out. He was a true Cultural Warrior.

The family needs your support to help with funeral arrangements. Please donate what you can as soon as possible.

Ron Sutton was born and raised in Washington D.C. He attended Duke Ellington School of Arts, and later went on to study with jazz legend and saxophonist Jackie Mclean at the University of Hartford( Hart School of Music). In 1987 Ron moved to New York City where he played with various up and coming musicians before getting a break to play with jazz drummer Rashied Ali and legendary drummer Arthur Taylor.

On the DC Jazz scene Ron Sutton was highly respected by his peers, a local legend and a pillar in the community.  Everyone loved him..

Even though he didn't receive just due recognition Ron could stand his ground with the best.

Everyone loves Ron. Please give and show your support.

Love always,
