Just like any other day, on January 2, 2019 Raj Kumar woke up his adorable little 3-year old daughter Navira, kissed her forehead and got her ready for pre-school. He waved Dharani, his wife a sweet good bye before heading off to work. Little did they know that it would be their final good bye.  Within few minutes, this family's happiness was shattered by the news of Raj Kumar's fatal accident in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Navira's cute giggles and peek-a-boos were cherished as one whole family by Raj Kumar and Dharani. Their family was a bright light for the entire South-Asian community in and around Hillsboro. Raj Kumar's sudden passing will not only be a loss for the community, but more importantly to Navira, for she will dearly miss her father's ever present glow around her.

Although, we as a community may not be able to fulfill Raj Kumar's hopes and dreams for Navira, together we hope to be stepping stones in Navira's future.
