Injured & disabled police officers need your HELP!

Tax deductible

In 2018, more than 55,000 US law enforcement officers were physically assaulted. These incidents included shootings, stabbings, and beatings. There were 150 fatalities. Many of the LEOs who survived these criminal attacks are now dealing with financial hardship, extensive physical rehabilitation, PTSD, and potentially permanent disabilities.

Where they work will determine whether or not they are given adequate medical treatment and disability pay. Thousands--mostly in small departments with limited negotiating leverage--will receive neither. LEOs already have a high rate of suicide. (Last year, more cops kill themselves than are killed in the line of duty.)

WHAT WE DO:

The Wounded Blue assistance and support organization is the first national organization to combat this national tragedy.

1) SUPPORT:
A National Peer Advocate Support Team to provide wounded LEOs with support, guidance and resources.

2) EDUCATION:
Create and provide training presentations on The Wounded Blue issues of PTSD, abandonment, emotional/mental health and compassionate care to Law Enforcement Leadership and Rank/File Officers. Provide PTSD Prevention Training to Active Duty Officers.

3) ASSISTANCE:
Provide emergency financial aid, mental/emotional health treatment referrals, legal assistance referrals, membership benefits of medical/dental discounts, access to private anonymous mental health treatment.

WHAT LEOs ARE SAYING ABOUT OUR SERVICES

“Peer support from The Wounded Blue saved me from myself…”

“I was struggling horribly. You can't imagine what a relief it was to talk to someone that knew where I was and wouldn't judge me.”

“I am writing to extend my greatest gratitude for the assistance we received from The Wounded Blue… Upon hearing the news of Scottie’s suicide, Ann reached out to her own network; we benefitted immensely from the response of The Wounded Blue.  Eddie Robinson boarded a plane and was meeting with our people in Texas within barely more than 24 hours post incident.”

“I was talked into sitting down with Eddie and Trevor. I was hesitant at first but quickly found comfort being around them. I walked away from that meeting feeling refreshed and heard. It was nice to know I was not alone in this and others are there willing to help. They were like my own personal Clarence, my guardian angels who came out of nowhere and saved me from falling into a dark place.”

“Kudos to go to Eddie Richardson, Trevor Wilkins and Anna Carrizales. They got us through one of the most difficult critical incidents of our careers. Anna, especially as she knew Charlie well.  Eddie and Amanda held me up when my knees were wanting to buckle at the funeral reception. Such love, caring and wisdom from them all.”

“This group is founded by caring LEO's who have experienced the same things officers across the country have. They have been there, done that. They have training and a huge heart, even bigger shoulders. Support is confidential and truly caring.”

"I needed more than the peer support to help myself. They (The Wounded Blue) were able to get me with a counselor to help..."

Please help us support our wounded men and women in blue. Your donation today will let them know that they are never alone and never forgotten. Any amount will help...and you may just save a life.
