My name is Sandra, and I am the founder of The Independent, Huntsville’s only independent cinema. After a brief scare that we might have to close our doors, we have pulled some strings and are remaining in our current location to continue serving the Huntsville cinephile community.

Donations from the community will help us build out our kitchen and expand our concessions offerings, allowing us to bring in more revenue to stay afloat for longer. We can also purchase a new screen and install cupholders on our cinema seats with a little help. We sincerely believe in the power of community, as our cinema was built by donors and volunteers. This little push will help us continue to serve the community with great films and fellowship.
