MPower Theater/The Kitchen Table

MPower, an acting troupe dedicated to empowering survivors and offering opportunities for underrepresented communities, in the hopes of creating and reenacting theater with a social justice focus on activism, advocacy, and awareness. 

We have added a Internet Radio Show in 2017 to support Women of Color and Allies called "The Kitchen Table" to address self care, activism, and hot topics for WOC and Allies in particular with this new political climate. 

We are currently raising  funds for our 2017 production of "Butterfly Confessions" and for operating costs for the radio show.

Butterfly Confessions performance dates are June 16-17, 2017. 

We are an all volunteer group (cohosts, director, actors and tech) and funding will allow us to purchase licensing rights, rehearsal spaces, venues, and various production costs.  We have used money from our own pockets for these needs. 

As part of MPower Theater's mission, a portion  of the proceeds raised from ticket sales are donated to a local charitable organization. We have paid it forward to Body and Soul Healing Arts Center, Cynthia's Breast Cancer Giving Circle and Convergence Resource Center. 

We appreciate the support that we have received from the community.  Every little bit helps, No amount too small.
