Thank you so much for visiting our campaign! By being here, it shows that you are ready to help us fight to bring an end to sex trafficking.
Just a little about me, the founder. I'm a photographer and videographer from Seattle. I'm also the father of two daughters, ages 11 and 13. The average age for a child to be trafficked is 12, so my daughters are in the target age for this type of exploitation.
After discovering what child sex trafficking was, I immediately thought of my girls, but I also thought of the other parents who had lost their children to this evil modern day slavery. I wanted to do more than just pray for them, and that's when God put this project in my heart. So here I am!
This is a faith based project, driven by God’s love and compassion, and inspired by the scripture Hebrews 13:3 - Continue to remember those in prison, as if you were together with them in prison, and remember those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were also suffering.
Only 1% of child sex trafficking victims live to know a life after trafficking. The Voices of Butterflies takes viewers beyond the statistics, to highlight the issues that influence them. The supply and demand, corrupt law enforcement, government and state agencies that are supposed to protect victims, and limited recovery assistance for survivors to name a few.
Our interviews with survivors will not only give the audience an iside look into their world as a trafficked victime, but inspire and encourage other survivors and give hope to those that have yet to break free.

How will the money be used?
Creating a feature length film requires more than just a camera. There are many pre-production and post-production elements, as well as the unpredictables to factor in order to bring it to life. We won't bore you with every single and individual detail, but we have categorized cost by the following:
-Equipment -Travel
-Food and hotel -Post production
-Insurance -Permits
-Promotional Materials -Contingency
When are you going to begin shooting?
As soon as we reach our goal we can begin production! Acquiring equipment, setting schedules for interviews, meet and greet's etc... So the sooner we reach our goal, the sooner we can get this project in motion! We anticipate that filming will take approximately 2 months.
We've reached our goal, but you still want to give?
Please do! The extent and quality of our production is based on the funding that we receive. With additional funding we can upgrade our our equipment, travel to more cities, enter film festivals and produce an overall higher quality film!
Our goal after the film- We would like to tour with the film when it is complete. Visiting churches, schools, law enforcement agencies, hospitals, airlines and help to create outreach programs in communities across the country.
We'll keep you updated by giving you access to our exclusive donor page that will allow you to come along with us in every step of our process. You'll receive updates from the purchasing of equipment, on location photos, video chat, and behind the scenes footage!
What can you do to support? Glad that you asked!
Donate what you can. Whether it's $10 or $1,000. Your contribution matters, and every dollar helps! The rewards offered are just an additional way to say thank you. Even if you can only give a dollar, it's a dollar more than we would have had without you!
Share this page with your family and friends on Facebook, Twitter, or your favorite social media websites. Email and/or text message if you're not the social media type. Every share, tweet, like, pin, text or email can help!
Pray for those that are still being abused. Pray for the survivors that are still in mental, physical and emotional prisons. Pray for the families that still have hope. Pray for the families that have lost hope. Pray that God would change the hearts and minds of the offenders. Pray for the success of this project, and that God's will be done through it.
You can also take this campaign to the businesses, employers, churches, or community groups in your circles and ask them to support this cause!
