Hello my name is Matthew Jefferson. Grandson to Irene Brown and nephew to Frances Brown. I am Wet'suwet'en First Nations from Witset BC Canada. On October 14, 2017 my Aunt Frances Brown went missing from Northern British Columbia close to what is known as the "Highway of Tears". On June 01, 2018 I started walking across Canada to raise awareness for the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, boys and Men of Canada. Since 1970 around 5000 women and girls have gone missing all across Canada and this is still happening to this day. I have finished my walk, walking 8275km starting from Victoria B.C on June 01, 2018 through British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Cape Breton Island and now Newfoundland!. My walk resumed Monday April 15th through to June 25th of 2019. My destination was Cape Spear Newfoundland. I have this Go Fund Me page to help keep my walk across Canada funded for food, lodging/campgrounds and replacement gear as well as my return home to BC. For more information look on Facebook page: The Walk to Remember Matthew Jefferson Looking for sponsorship for my walk across Canada. For details email me at: [email redacted]
