THUMBRAISER for Bella's prosthetic!

Co-producer of Ricecake and cannabis advocate, Bella Sie has been a community leader for the East Van queer community over the past few years - DJing at basically every party, providing healing through medicinal pre-rolls, and always creating a safe space for our QTBIPOC family.

With COVID-19 putting a stop to shows and events for almost two years, the pandemic left artists, like Bella, struggling without work. But this summer finally felt hopeful! With the fast progression of vaccinations across the country, and the gradual lifting of restrictions, we started to catch glimpses into what post-pandemic would look like. For Bella, that was short-lived, when things took a turn for the worse.

At the end of August, Bella broke up a dog fight to protect their dog, but was severely injured in the process. After multiple hospital visits, they unfortunately had to lose a part of their thumb. After suffering this traumatic experience, they've been feeling embarrassed and distraught over the past couple of months, especially since the injury affects their DJ career and their new business.

In order for Bella to continue in their career paths, they'll need a new thumb - and you can help them get one!

We've decided to start this GoFundMe to raise money and find Bella a prosthetic thumb! The prices of prosthetic fingers can vary anywhere from as little as $5,000 for a partial finger to as much as $70,000 for a technologically advanced finger that can move. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to reduce the financial stress so they can go back to feeling 2 thumbs up again! Please donate to our THUMBRAISER and help us reach our goal - every little bit counts!

On November 28th, we will be hosting a drag show and community market at Eastside Studios with proceeds all going towards this goal!
