Thyroid cancer - Tommy Logston
Donation protected
My brother, Tommy is 21 years old. He attends Marshall University where he is studying business management. In December 2017 he went to Columbus Hospital to get pre testing due to a broken hand. Got all his pre testing done and the next day got a devastating phone call saying that they were unable to do surgery at this time due to something that came up on the ct scan. He was told he might possibly have thyroid cancer. So after a couple appointments and more testing and a biopsy they confirmed the cancer. Not only does he have to get his thyroid removed, the cancer also spread to his lymph nodes which now also need removed. We are currently waiting on results from his last ct scan to make sure it is not anywhere else. His surgery is scheduled for February 6th 2018 where they are hoping to remove all the tumors. After removal if all goes well he will then have to take chemo pills and be on thyroid medicine for the rest of his life along with calcium pills. Any type of donation will help, seeing as after recovery he will then also have to have his wrist surgery. All donations will go strictly to medical bills and any type of treatments needed.
