Tim Jago's Healing & Recovery Fund

Hello!

Yamit here. I'd like to tell you a story:
Once upon a time there was a great Aussie guy named Tim Jago. Everyone who met him thought he was an incredible guitar player and even more incredible human (and that's saying a lot since he's so talented).

On March 19th, as some of you may know, Tim was driving away from one gig to the next, when a careless driver hit his car in a head on collision. It was not Tim's fault.
Tim's car was totaled, and immediately, his right thumb was in a lot of pain.
Tim went to see a doctor right away. After several weeks of doctor visits and specialist visits, it was determined that Tim has a torn ligament between the thumb and index finger (there's actually way more medical jargon, I'm giving you the condensed version). Tim then decided to have the recommended surgery for his hand.

Since the accident, Tim has still not yet been able to play his guitar, which means he cannot work.
Tim tried to go after the other driver for the costs of the doctor visits, surgery, loss of work, travel costs, tow truck for his totaled car and the rest of the bills associated with the accident. However, he recently found out that the person who hit his car has bare minimum insurance that will not cover Tim, and additionally, Tim cannot sue since the other person lives in a trailer with no assets to their name.

Costs for the above mentioned have been calculated at a bare minimum of $12,000. This doesn't even begin to cover for loss of work, but at this point, every little bit will help.
So far, the specialists estimate that Tim will not be working before June, since he still has post-surgery pins in his hand, which will be removed in June. Then, Tim can only BEGIN to regain movement and therapy so he can eventually gig again. These funds are needed ASAP.

This is where the heros come into the story. (Mike Piolet: drumroll please. Jean Caze: cue trumpets please). We are all going to pass a hat around, and chip in to help Timmy. We shall call this hat the "Good Karma Hat". Please pitch in. Remember that we are a community of musicians. We need each other, and this could have happened to any one of us. It would be difficult for anyone to handle this. Knowing Tim, we'll probably have to twist his other arm to even accept this help.

Since Timmy's family is far away. We need to step up as his adoptive musical family who genuinely care and love Timmy and are there to support him. So, give - and then share on your fb wall so others can give too. Who's with me?
