Timor - Repaying a "Debt of Honour"
Donation protected
Bondia - Di'ak ka Lae (Good morning , are you well)
SOMETIMES, you go to a place where the people are experiencing a range of hardships, but continue to be happy and willing to lend a hand. You recognise this and become aware of your own privilege and stop complaining.
East Timor, or Timor Leste is such a place and we have a "Debt of Honour" to repay these people and this country . Many World War 2 veterans understand this, as do many of the men and women of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) who have served in this country.
During September 2017, we hope to make the lives of several thousand local villagers, families and school children a little bit better and easier.
Our Rotary Club of Byford & Districts in Western Australia, is doing water, sanitation and repair projects in the remote parts of the country and we need your help. 100% of the funds donated will go to the projects, with the Rotary effort being given as volunteer service.
