Tim's Insurance Denial (Pain Mgmt)
Donation protected
My name is Timothy Yarbrough and I am asking for your help.
I have had chronic pain issues all my life but the last six to seven years have been the worst as the pain was starting to get extremely difficult to push thru because it was stepping up in severity at a rapid pace. To the point now where I am unable to function and feel hopeless and trapped in my body. After years of getting nowhere I have finally found a pain management program that is helping but my insurance company has decided that all my conditions are pre-existing and want to stop paying.
I live with my aunt who has been paying for my health insurance. The only thing I qualify for is a six month policy which has to be redone every six months. This is counted as a new policy each time. My aunt is on disability and has exhausted all her savings, etc. to help me currently but has nothing more to help me with, and the fact that insurance is now refusing to pay the claims for my pain management treatments is leaving me with a large amount of debt on treatments already done, and preventing me from getting the additional treatments I need.
I am asking for help to maintain my pain management program and pay for my prescriptions, so that I can get the pain under control and become a functional member of society again.
The pain I am experiencing has taken over my body and my overall health is deteriorating. Over the past two years, I have been hospitalized for and/or diagnosed with but not limited to the following:
· Abdominal pain
· Cellulitis and abscess
· Attention deficit disorder with hyperactivity
· Unspecified septicemia
· Lumbago
· Unspecified erythematous condition
· Disturbance of skin sensation
· Other and specified noninfectious gastroenteritis and colitis
· Leukocytosis
· Spondylosis without myelopathy or radiculopathy
· Epigastric pain
· Anxiety (Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Socialized Anxiety Disorder)
· Other post herpetic nervous system involvement
· Acute pancreatitis
· Jaw pain (Trigeminal Neuralgia, Temporomandibular Joint Disorder)
· Systemic inflammatory response system (SIRS)
· Unspecified asthma
· Essential hypertension
· Insomnia
· Diverticulitis of colon (without mention of hemorrhage)
· Brachial neuritis or radiculitis
· Acidosis
· Abnormal serum enzyme level
· Diabetes mellitus without mention of complication
· Unspecified vitamin D deficiency
· Unspecified prostatitis lipdoses
· Unspecified disorder of lipoid metabolism
· Chronic viral hepatitis C
· Herpes zoster
· Chronic nonalcoholic liver disease
· Dorsalgia
· Periumbilical pain
· Elevated white blood cell count
· Unknown Autoimmune Disease
I am currently obtaining treatment at the Padda Institute –Center for Interventional Pain Management. So far, they have diagnosed me with having an Unknown Autoimmune Disease, Cervicalgia, Cervical Radiculopathy and Migraine heaches which make it unable for me to sit or stand for more than 30minutes at a time, as well as is causing my body to attack itself. I also am still waiting on results from several tests that we performed over the last few weeks.
My goal is to find the right combination of medication to allow me to function normally.
If I have to stop my treatments due to my insurance company refusing to pay because my condition is pre-existing, I don’t know what I will do. I just feel hopeless and defeated. Please help me continue my fight.
I would appreciate any assistance you can give me.
