Tito's Start Up Taco Cart
Donation protected
The most difficult part in pursuing my taco cart dreams has been the vulnerability that comes with it all. From selling tacos in a cooler on the side of the road with a markerboard that says "BREAKFAST TACOS" to catering our first event for 50+ people; this life dream has constantly taken me out of my comfort zone and created great freinds and growth opportunities. So here goes 'juan' more time.....
Calling all fellow taco and burrito lovers! Tito's Taqueria needs your help :)
The location where we have been allowed to sell has been sold and we are looking to purchase a custom taco cart for the coming spring/summer. The cart we have received a quote for is not our end goal but we think it is an acheivable starting point. This will help us get closer to having an enclosed food trailer or truck in the next 2-3 years. Some of the benefits of an open concept cart is that it is smaller and will fit on sidewalks to increase locations we can sell from, it enables us to see and visit with our customers as we prepare food, and we can set up and serve food much quicker.
The cart has 4 sinks as required by the VT health department with a hot water heater, a griddle, two steam pans, and a cold food speed rail. This will enable us to keep with our model of fresh homemade food made fast - after all Tito's is home to the grab-n-go taco and burritto!! Arribaaa!!
We have been able to save a portion to put towards the taco cart and will continue to do pop-ups, catering events and parties to help raise money and awarness of our taco cart campaign.
We hope to raise $8500 over this one month campaign.
A large part of these funds will be used to purchase and ship the food cart to Bratteboro. Additionally the funds will be used to:
-Meet regulatory permits, procedures, and licenses
-Branding and Merchandisinging the Tito's Taco Cart
-Purchasing a mobile deep fryer for our fried chorizo & Mexican rice balls and our deep fried chocolate chip cookies
If we meet our goal it will enable us to be set up and selling sometime in April and prepare for some big Vermont events.
This continues to be an incredible journey that we are so grateful to have shared with the supportive town of Brattleboro and all our fellow taco/burrito enthusiasts. I have all sorts of taco gratitude on a daily basis :)
Each donation is accompanied by a Tito's reward that will be personally mailed to you along with a handwritten thank you note. If there is something you don't see but would help convince you to support this dream please drop me a line and let me know.
If you would rather make a donation in person I will make note of it here.
If you have any questions or suggestions please contact us on our website www.TitosVT.com or call our taco emergency hotline at: 9-juan-juan :)
If you are unable to support in the form of a monetary donation another very helpful option would be to leave us a review at one of the links below:
