TaeKwon Do KICKS for Charities

TaeKwon Do K.I.C.K.S. of Middlebury, Vergennes and Hinesburg, Vermont is turning 10 years old in September.  TaeKwon Do K.I.C.K.S. teaches students of all ages from toddlers to grandparents and all abilities.  To celebrate our birthday, we are organizing a huge Break-A-Thon, which is a fundraiser where students break boards to earn their pledges.  In the past we have chosen a local charity to receive all our proceeds.  This is to remind students, that as TaeKwon Doist, they have a responsibility to "fight" for those people who can not fight for themselves or need help.  However to celebrate our 10th birthday, we have chosen 10 charities that we want to sponsor.  Students will still be individually asking for pledges, but we would like to be able to donate as much as possible and therefore reaching out to GoFundMe. 

The  organizations we are supporting are:
1. Champlain Valley Agency on Aging (supports programs for the elderly like Meals on Wheels)
2. Middlebury Recreation Department (offers scholarships for families to be able to participate in local sporting activities)
3. Camp TaKumTa (summer camp for children with cancer)
4. Special Olympics - organizes year round sporting activities to foster acceptance and inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities
5. WomenSafe -organization that helps protect & support families in abusive situations
6. Big Change Round Up -supports the University of Vermont Children's Hospital
7. Homeward Bound -Local Humane Society
8. Charter House - local facility providing housing and meals for homeless
9. Addison County Benefit Tractor Pull - raises money for several local families in need annually
10. Derick Leroy Benoit Scholarship Fund - a scholarship named in memory of a local young man

Our event is scheduled for Saturday September 24th 2016, so would appreciate donations by then.
