Hi there!
can you help? Our beloved Toby, Tobias the Saint Bernard is needing our help! Surgery recovery is underway!!
We adopted him from rescue in 2010 - at 18mos - he is now about 7years old and so very full of life and love!

Last year he had a ton of medical expenses and pulled through. This proves to me with good medical care we can really change outcomes. This dog has perservered and remained vitally alive.
Today 8/22 Toby is recovering from emergency surgery having symptoms occur quickly late week and 2 days at the vet with a transfer to emergency surgery on Sun 8/21 in the afternoon. He may get to go home today. However he is still not eating which was one of his original symptoms so it is possible everything is not in fact resolved! It may be a day or so before we find out as they may release him and hope that is the environment or pain meds causing this. However, this dog doesn't 'not eat' so I am worried!!

He pulled through well but he is not out of the woods yet! He is still not eating which is a concern as it was an original symptom. This could lead to more interventions that I have included in the range of this go fund me request.
Currently his medical bills are unofficially close to 2k for this event this weekend, the local vet has yet to tally the bill for care before transfer on Sunday, which was extremely kind. The funds I have so far for his medical bills are coming from funds allotted for other urgent expenses, as, I too, have been financially stressed due to medical events, having undergone surgery myself just a few days ago.
I need funds immediately to continue to make care decisions if necessary.
