Together We Rise: Help it Happen!

Donation protected

On Thursday, January 19, 2017, a diverse collective of artists, activists, and community members will present “Together We Rise: a Counter-Inaugural Celebration of Resistance” at Boston’s historic Strand Theater in Dorchester from 7 to 10:30 PM.

The one-of-a-kind event–to be held on the eve of the presidential inauguration–will include a procession to the theater, social justice art show, mobilization fair, and a call-to-action concert featuring a talented and inspiring set of performers including renowned musician Larry Watson. Additional performers to join the bill include spoken word poets, comedians, and authors.

With the goal of inspiring people to take creative political action, Together We Rise will bring together over 1,000 attendees from across Boston to raise their voices for a more peaceful, just, and creative world. We need your help to make it happen, however!

Together We Rise will only be possible with your help. Please consider making a donation by January 19, 2017. The event, organized completely by volunteers, will cost roughly $7,500 to host, and we are fundraising to help us cover the cost of renting the Strand Theater, hiring security and tech support, renting equipment, and ensuring that we have all the support that we need to host a safe and inspiring event.

As thanks for your donation at any level, you will receive free entry to Together We Rise. We encourage you to consider making a gift that is meaningful for you, whether $250, $100,  $50, $25 or $10.

We are very grateful for your support during this turbulent political time. Using the power of arts and activism, we, at Together We Rise, believe our city can become an even more peaceful, just, and creative place to live.

Visit togetherweriseboston.org to learn more about the event including who's performing, which local activist organizations will be participating, and how to join the procession to the Strand Theatre.

Together We Rise is a growing artist collective, however we are not a non-profit organization. As a result, your donation will not be tax-deductible. Your gift will, however, help us rally 1,000 people to work for a better world.
