To Phyllis with love, Friends of Al

On Good Friday, the Village of Loreauville, La was rocked by a horrific accident.  A head on collision took the life of our town's popular mayor, Al Broussard and left his beloved fiancee', Village Clerk Phyllis Savoy,  critically injured.  Al's passing is tragic and the community grieves the loss of this incredibly good and humble friend.  

Phyllis' injuries are severe, including a broken shoulder, hips, ribs and breaks to both legs.  She is in danger of losing a leg and faces many surgeries and a long road to recovery.   Only our Lord can heal her broken heart.

Were Al still with us, there is nothing he would not do to help Phyllis through this most difficult time in her life.  In his absence, his family and friends will step in with love and, at least, help her to address the financial burden that accompanies a long recovery.  

There is something about growing up in a small community that pulls us together in a way that city life can never accompish.  We grow up together, celebrate together, grieve together with an intimacy that is special.  For many years, Al and Phyllis have been the bedrock of our community and there is nothing we can do to adequately thank them.
