Tori’s Fight Against Lymphoma
Donation protected
On August 9,2018, Tori discovered swelling in her neck.It was painless but was becoming more noticeable. She and her family sought medical advice and she was sent for labs, chest x-ray, utlrasound, biopsy, along with seeing a specialist. After an utlrasound she was told she had a nodule on her thyroid. The biopsy came back essentially negative so she thought they would be treating a thyroid disorder. As the mass in her neck grew and started to effect her swallowing and speech, they sought further medical advice and the doctors agreed it should be removed. She then traveled to Jefferson University Hospital to meet with a surgeon. He agreed the mass should be removed as well so she had surgery on October 15, 2018. Until this point the physicians were saying it was not cancer but after her surgery the doctor mentioned lymphoma as a possibility. He sent the tissue and fluid for biopsy and two days later called them with the dreadful diagnosis known as cancer. She met with an oncologist the following day to create a game plan to destroy this beast! She will undergo intense chemotherapy within the next couple of weeks. Her doctor is optimistic and so are we! We are #teamtori and #wegotthis! We appreciate all your prayers for Tori and her entire family! No one fights alone!
