TORNADO ALLEY IS CLOSING
Regretfully, after 15 successful years, “Tornado Alley” will be closing.
Dave Porter hung on as long as he could, at the very real risk of becoming homeless. All resources he had went into his vision of helping kids and families through basketball. His photographs and posters were generously provided to schools, players and families. Having no immediate family in this area to lend a hand, he’ll be moving to Florida to start a new life.
We would like to thank everyone who helped keep “Tornado Alley” alive all this time. Your generosity allowed “Tornado Alley” to operate until the very end.
Mark Simeral, Linda Curtiss, Barbara Wilson, Mary Lumsden, Andy Esbenshade, Janet Diaz, Randi Jacobson, Sandra Asher, Michelle Hines, John Lucy, Don Lucy, Brian Lucy, Mara Sultan, Becky McIntosh, Lauren Edgell, Claudia Kirk, Lori Benner, Victoria Collazo, Bob & Marilyn Bare, Jack & Sandy Neal, Shawn Williams, Cynthia Garman, Jenna Harbin, Erin Sell, Bea Landis, Evan Smith, L. Westbrook, DogStar Books, Steve & Clara Geraci, John & Susan Kreider, Tom Simpson, Rebecca Holzinger, Myka Piatt, Boobie Gantz, Charlie Crystle, Kendrick Bowman, Danielle Howard, Erin Dautrich, Jack Chance, Tanay Bellmon, Sean and Jennifer Cannizzaro, Freiman Stoltzfus, Mark Kirchner, Michael Richards, Carolyn Karl, Dustin Graffa, Karen Sweigart, Terrie Finger, RJ Zimmerman, Daisy Lee Myers.
ALSO: Domino’s Pizza; Kegel’s Produce; Hagelgans & Veronis; LNP; and Fox 43.
Dave wishes to thank the parents, grandmothers, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended families of the “Tornado Alley” players. They showed their support, love and appreciation in countless ways.
And, most of all, we would like to thank the “Tornado Alley” kids who showed up rain, shine or snow—and played with so much Spirit and sportsmanship. They were the heart and soul of “Tornado Alley”. Dave will certainly miss their undying enthusiasm and dedication.
