TOTAL LOSS OF FLOATING HOME

TOTAL LOSS ON THE MISSISSIPPI SAVE A LIFE
My Father, John, has been voyaging back and forth from MN to FL for over 30 years. In 2017 my Dad was seriously injured and crippled in a pedestrian auto accident crossing the street in Winona, MN, but nothing could have prepared us for his fate yesterday when his floating home (a midsized motor sailboat) capsized and submerged under the rollers at Lock and Dam 16, Muscatine, Iowa.
Miraculously, Capt. John has survived and was rescued albeit he has lost everything, his home and all its contents and what is even worse, unfortunately, he had no insurance.

Took time off from work and traveled to Midwest for the first traumatic crippling accident in MN from September into October 2017, right after returning from my Cousin, Mark Setchell's in GA after evacuating FL with my childen due to Hurricane Irma. Then I took months off work this past summer to go to MN again to assess the conditions, help and aid his healing, make repairs to Beluga after storage last winter. Both my Dad's accidents are life changing events. Being struck by a car has caused John permanent losses in range of motion in his legs, knees, right arm and memory loss (possibly TBI brain damage). The accident has been a costly ordeal physically, mentally and financially. The elderly driver who struck John had State Farm Insurance. The standard settlement was exhausted before covering a half a million dollars in hospital bills. Thankfully. the medical bills were greatly reduced, yet an oustanding $9000 balance is due at one hospital.

Then, yesterday another devastating blow. The total loss of his home due to a grave navigational error. Grampa John (who served in the Air Force Reserves) lost his floating home, all his belongings inside and nearly lost his life. By God's good grace, John has survived another terrible accident costing an estimated $100,000. Tragic financial loss of his home and personal effects (no insurance this time to recover any of the valuables lost).

John is in an exepected and rare time of dire need. I am going to bring my Dad to Florida in hopes to get him set up in a facility nearby and evaluated as soon as possible for memory issues which are very concerning after salvage and settling liabilities. I foresee much assistance he will need to accommodate his needs. Please help with any amount of financial support, positive vibeds, Shares and prayers.
Thank you in advance for all your support.
