Scleroderma - Tough Mudder 2.0

Last year myself and a few friends completed an 18km Tough Mudder course and in the process we raised just over $1300 that went towards the promotion, funding of research and increased awareness of what Scleroderma is, a disease that my mother suffers from.
This year my friend suprised me (bought the tickets without telling me) and we will be taking part, on little notice, Tough Mudder 2017 - Saturday, October 28th. The event again will be over 18-20km and consist of over 20+ obstacles as-well. (already I am not looking forward to it!). I thought it would be a great excuse to try raise some awareness on this disease... for those who have never heard of it please read below ...
My mother Daphne, has been battling an incurable disease for the last 9+ years and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to try to give something back. She was diagnosed with 'SCLERODERMA'. Most people (including myself and even doctors) do not know much about the illness, such as the cause of this illness or how to cure it.
So I'm also doing this to help raise some awareness. As we know, SCLERODERMA is a chronic and disabling connective tissue disease. It can affect many areas of the body including the heart, lungs, kidneys and gastrointestinal system. There is no known cause and no cure. Women account for 80% of all diagnoses, but the disease affects men and women of all ethnicities and ages. The direct cost of treatment for patients is more than $460 million annually. Hopefully, that gives you all a quick over-view on what we are trying to fundraise for, especially those who have not heard of it before :)
With just under a week to raise as much as possible, all proceeds will be going towards future research into SCLERODERMA and its cure. The ideal target is $500, but hopefully we can raise more!
