Help Boys Town Grads Reach Their True Potential
When you visit any Boys Town campus, you’ll be most impressed by the kids, especially their commitment, tenacity and poise. But, then, that’s what Boys Town does — it gives at-risk kids a second chance to heal and achieve their potential.
I know these kids could do great things in a skilled trade like welding, construction or auto mechanics, and I think we can all agree that this country needs more skilled people in the trades. But, unlike most kids, they don't have a family to help them after high school, mentors to guide them or a shoulder to lean on while they learn a new job.
That’s why I’m excited about Trade Life, a new program for recent Boys Town graduates.
Trade Life provides these kids support in the crucial years after high school. These years can be full of challenges, doubt and setbacks. But through the Trade Life program, Boys Town is helping them make the transition to independence through the following:
· Financial assistance for housing, food, clothing, tools and the other things they need when they start a new job
· Mentors who help these kids on the path to success by staying connected with them and helping them make the best decisions for their futures
Please join me in supporting Boys Town’s Trade Life program. Your donation will help us grow this program so we can help thousands of Boys Town graduates across the country who are planning to enter trade professions.
The goal of having a job is to be self-sufficient and earn self-respect. The goal of Trade Life is to help Boys Town graduates get there sooner.
And with your generous support, I think we’re going to make a real difference.
Thanks,
Josh Temple
