Tragic Accident in Nabou, Fiji

Donation protected
My name is Sruthi Palaniappan, and I am a student at Harvard University.

This past Saturday, August 4th, was one of the most terrifying days of my life. I witnessed a devastating accident in Nabou, Fiji, that took away six innocent lives and severely injured several others (two individuals still remain in critical condition). I tried my best to help victims by calling the ambulance, assisting a woman out of the smashed car, and providing water and a towel that I had. No one around me was a medical professional or trained EMT. In addition, the police, fire trucks, and ambulance only came about an hour after the accident occurred. I had never felt so helpless before as I did in that very moment. My heart aches as I continue thinking of the victims and their families.

I decided to start this GoFundMe page to help the families of the victims and survivors. I would truly appreciate any contribution that you can provide. Please also share this post with your friends and families. These families’ lives will never be the same, and I am asking for your support to help them during this critical time.

I am not related to any of the victims. All funds raised will be distributed to families of victims and survivors, and I will provide updates on how I will be distributing the money to the victims and survivors. The picture above is from the Fiji Times, and here is a link to their article: http://www.fijitimes.com/nabou-accident-six-confirmed-dead/
