Translate missionary book into Chinese
Donation protected
In years, there are great Christian workers from other countries serve in China. But now many of them can no longer get visa and come back. They leave holes in various areas which need Chinese Christians to fill.
My translator team will translate various books into Chinese from veteran missionaries who served in China so we may preserve their lessons and encourage Chinese church to take its role on the mission.
The book we are going to translate is "The History of Christian Missions in Guangxi China" by Arthur Lin, a missionary who served in Guangxi province for over 10 years. We want to publish through Wechat Public Account so that Chinese Christians can read this precious book for free.
The book has 60K words. The translation budget will be $2,500. The content is as following:
Preface.
Abbreviations.
1. Guangxi—the Land and Its People.
2. The Early Years: Catholic Missions.
3. 1877–1925: Enter the Protestants.
4. 1925–1937: Anti-Foreign Movement to Japanese Invasion.
5. 1937–1951: War with Japan through the Founding of the People’s Republic of China
6. Relations Between Missionaries and Societies.
7. Notable Missionaries.
8. Mission to Specific Population Segments: Minorities and Students.
9. Methods and Ministries.
10. Challenges and Costs.
